OUTSTANDING ESF MUSICAL TALENT ON SHOW

Recently The English School Fahaheel was once again proud to
display the musical talents of its students in the annual
musical talent Event held in the school’s main Theatre. This
year saw great strides in music at ESF with the 40th year
production of “The Wizard of Oz” and the opening of the new
state-of-the-art Music Lab.
Last week saw a grand celebration of ESF Musical talent as the
Music department staged and outstanding end of year concert with
all choirs, bands and singers participating. The Junior and
Senior Choirs performed favourites from “The Wizard of Oz” and
other classics like Rhythm of life, Go the distance and Climb
every Mountain.
The ESF Brass Band performed renowned classical tunes such as
Heidewitka march, Shosholoza and ESF fanfare which Brass Band
specialist Mr Jack composed himself specially for ESF.
The talented musicians then amazed the audiences with their
outstanding solos: March to occasion on the trumpet was performed
by Suk Chul, Walking in the air on the trombone was performed by
Sung Min, Gaslight on the trombone by Stefan, The Spartan on the
tuba by Lasse Roovers and Tuba on the loose by Sang Jeub on the
tuba.
The ESF Modern Band stunned the audiences with their talent as
they performed the latest pop and hip hop hits which had the
younger audience clapping and singing along. Numbers performed
included Kiss Kiss by Chris Brown, Umbrella by Rihana, Bleeding
Love by Leona Lewis, I can save you by Michelle Branch and
Gromensai by Tatu.
The ESF Musical Talent Event had the audiences waiting for more
great performances in the new academic year which commences
early September.
A big thank you goes out to the Music Departments Mrs Grmussa,
Mr Jack, Mr.Bartle, Mrs Cox and Mr Wnuk for a thoroughly
enjoyable and entertaining event.
The English School Fahaheel strongly supports and offers modern
facilities to promote musical talent. ESF also sponsors musical
events such as those organized by the Chamber Philharmonia and
the annual Jazz Festival.
